My routine consists of setting my alarm for one hour before getting up for work. This allows me not to feel rushed when waking up. I keep a water bottle on my nightstand and take a drink as soon as I wake up. I don’t hit the snooze button and make it a point to sit up in my bed when my alarm sounds. I head downstairs and make breakfast, including coffee and eggs.

All in all, that process takes me 9-minutes. After that, I’ve got nearly a full hour. I go to the gym for 38 minutes, catch up on the news, journal, and find new ideas for blog posts for the next twenty minutes. Then, I hit the shower and start my day off. The 9-minute routine has changed my life, and I’m sure it can change yours too.
